A little on its history, the first Oval-shaped Diamond dates back in 1304, making it the longest known Diamond shape in history. One of the most remarkable Oval Brilliant Cut Diamonds is the 184ct Victoria, cut in 1887. During the 1960s, the Oval Brilliant gained its popularity and eventually modernized.

A slight variation from the Round, the Oval Shape makes a unique elongated shape as it gives length and a slimmer effect on the finger, thus flattering small hands or shorter fingers. Similar to the conventional Round Diamonds, its contrasting silhouette reflects and retracts light, creating a beautiful exhibit of fire and brilliance.

An Oval Diamond is associated with a personailty of great creativity and graceful feminity. Indeed a suitable shape for those who acquire the norm of traditionally wearing classic Round Diamonds, but with an added adventurous side to them.
